| Community Garage Sale This Fall |

Clear out clutter this fall with a Comox Valley Community Garage Sale. Courtenay Recreation Association and ETC invite Comox Valley residents to participate in the ETC Community Garage Sale on October 18th.
ETC is proud to announce a fundraising project to support orphans in Kakamega, Kenya. In 1994 Alison volunteered in a remote fishing village in western Kenya. While involved in the community Alison met hundreds of people who had virtually no material possessions yet exuded a lightness of heart and generosity of spirit not often found in North America. The belief that ‘less is more’ forms the basis of her work as an organizer and to this day she remains in contact with some of the people that she met in Kenya. This fall, in partnership with the Courtenay Recreation Association, Alison will coordinate a community garage sale, preparatory workshop and public lecture with all funds generated being applied to both local projects in the Comox Valley and international projects in Kakamega, Kenya.
